The stock video card in my

The stock video card in my MacPro 1,1 (2x2.66 GHz dual-core Xeon, running OS 10.6.8) died, too. I replaced it with an ATI HD 5770 (1024 MB) and it works great for all of non-BOINC apps. :-) I set it up to work with E@H GPU tasks as recommended earlier in this thread by dedicating only 3 cores to CPU tasks, thereby dedicating one core to feed the GPU. However, E@H has not sent me any GPU apps. Below is what E@H is telling me. Any suggestions? This setup is not working with Collatz@Home, so I have relatively few remaining options for utilizing the processing capacity of this video card. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the assistance,

Thanks for the assistance, Claggy. Man, I hate it when I miss something obvious.

Unfortunately, I don't have any OS X 10.7 installation disks lying around - I haven't bought a new Mac recently - and Apple doesn't offer OS X 10.7 for download in the App Store anymore. Looks like I may have to bite the bullet and phone Apple to buy an OS X 10.7 installation disk. Grrrrr!!!! (Please don't interpret this as shooting the messenger!) Again, thanks for the advice!

So, I finally got around to

So, I finally got around to updating my MacPro 1,1 (2x2.66 GHz dual-core Xeon, running OS 10.6.8) to OS 10.7. And, shazam, the machine started processing E@H GPU tasks! What a cheap ($21.70) way to take greater advantage of a little-used machine. Thanks to all for the advice, particularly Claggy and Gary Roberts.

No problem, anything to help a fellow cruncher,
