I mention it because Mr Nobel while wanting to make the handling of nitroglycerin safe in the pursuit of 'good' reasons eg. mining etc, however he then started the high explosive industry for weapons ie. 'bad' reasons. He felt sorry about that. Mind you the guy - a doctor no less - who invented the gatling gun thought it would end/prevent wars due to fear of it's slaughtering potential. Thus all the way up to the insane Mutual Assured Destruction nuclear weapons doctrine - which is still in play today guys & gals - and hence we redo Deer Hunter each generation.
Cheers, Mike.
I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

Unfortunately as long as we have Leaders with egos and ambitions this will never end!! Yes SOME egos and ambitions are for peaceful purposes, but not all and those people make everyone else take notice and create the what-if plans.
It's lovely to see you pop in MAGIC :) I might have been in to say so earlier but I was attempting some DIY querkling. Interestingly, I lost the will to live just doing the circles, and long before getting to do any colouring-in.
Hello againAnniet.....for some reason I seem to get a bit behind things here so far this Winter.....but I guess I should just blame CERN since the servers there are not as reliable as they are here
or it could be that I am seeing my 60th birthday sneaking up on me this month and being at the control of my nine computers and my flock of satellite dishes just make it harder to hang onto that top of the hill to keep from rolling down the other side
Of course when I am just sitting on the couch watching the weekend NFL playoff games I still feel like I can
I guess if it snows here I will be more likely to have even less to do and then have no excuse for not stopping by here to pay a visit........but then every saturday night I always watch several old and not so old British tv shows so it is almost like being there and thinking about shopping at Arkwright's store for a Taddy Porter.....only one of course

Have you tried forgetting which way was up and down to start with...?
It might help... It does me :)
I did a turn-a-multiple-of-ten thing last January. I don't plan on doing it again for awhile - but when I do it'll be what you're about to do! :) In case the actual day escapes ny attention though...
HAPPYBIRTHDAY (you know... whenitis... your birthday MAGIC ) :)

There is good news and there is bad news, people. The good news is that TLPTPW 40 has been won!!! The bad news is, after having popped by several times beforehand thinking it must have happened and finding it hadn't, I then got delayed popping in to check when exactly it had happened... which was a few posts ago.
Y-e-e-e-e-s ... but I'm here now :) to tell you that Mikey (on post 123) had the honour of being the post I kept popping in on and finding my numerical post choice of 124 had still not been reached.
I like the way they double like that - and how it wasn't necessary to go to 1248 and drive everybody crazy getting there - because 8 consecutive primes add up to it anyway - and when I read (also in wiki) that not only is it a nontotient number but also an untouchable one... *show what happened to brain then by re-enacting its splat now* ...I had to choose it! :)
Spookily - my other whichever-happens-first-cut-off criteria...
(other than the one involving a girl turkey's head on a stick being what science established was the next best thing to a boy turkey than a girl turkey's head still healthily attached to the rest of her body rather than a dismembered leg or some other part - which I might chat about later)
...was going to be the first epiphany post (by UTC time) - which WAS post 124 tooooooooooooooooooo.
I know! :) And all of that means that when Kathryn said:
Mikey. You've been winning way to long. I'm going to have to put a stop to that.
She was right :) because she had - and did - and neither Randy nor Gary, nor Mikey or Magic could stop her. No. So...
CONGRATULATIONS, Kathryn!! :)
I will now proceed to PM you and tell you that you've won...
edit: which I have now done :)
Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.
