After my first belly flop in front of the whole school on sports day, I never entirely regained my confidence in deep water situations. No. It was a splendid thing to witness apparently. All I clearly recollect though was not having enough leg length to put my feet on the bottom afterwards whilst trying to restore oxygenation in my lungs. At least that trench puts the deep end of any swimming pool in perspective - definitely.
Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

LOL!!! I did that one time too, off the high board, I tried th edive where you touch your toes and then bring your feet back up so you go into the water straight, except i didn't get my feet anywhere near straight. It hurt for a long time and I've never tried that again either!!

Kathryn - I'm going to blame Mikey for my apparent lack of sympathy. Seeing his head rolling around undid all my natural manners ;)))
It puts our respective belly flops into perspective I must say... what a team we would have all made...
