Are they trying to work out if it's David's birthday today? Or whether it's Saturday? I know I am. I think I might be right saying that because I think I thought it was the day before my son's birthday... or the day after.
I'd convinced myself that that was this-time-next-week's-tomorrow though...
but it isn't because it's actually today's-tomorrow
*appalled blink at einsteinians* because no one ever got round to making November, 37 days long...
*follow baking smells with nose*
Good after my noon everyone! :)
Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.
I had a good thing go very bad yesterday...I was trying to back up my lone Linux pc to a 2nd harddrive and it instead erased the harddrive so now I have NOTHING on either drive!! It was an Ubuntu 14.04 installation, which is easy to redo, but it was HIGHLY modified thru MUCH trial and error, the reason for the backup attempt, to make it work with a special piece of hardware. On top of that I am going out of town for a week starting today so I can't even get started fixing it until I get back. Last time it took me 3 or 4 6 to 8 hour days, fiddling with it to make it work. I of course did NOT write down any of the steps, but I do have all the printouts of what commands I was typing, but have no clue if all or only some are needed and they are all jumbled up as they are just pages from a printer.
I used Clonezilla and even the command line DD program to attempt the backup but nothing seemed to work right!! At this point I have resigned myself to another 3 or 4 6 to 8 hour days, at least, to restore the pc to the point it works again, and putting on hold my purchase of another of those specific pieces of hardware too until the one I have is up and running again. Hopefully I can write down what I do as I go this time so I can replicate this again more quickly if I ever have too.
2 and 6 or 2s6d was half a crown and that was good for a lot in them days of pre 1967. A good dinky toy for one.
Or of course with a Queen and a Consort rather than a King & Queen, that was also a sort of halfcrown as well.
It is also the atomic number for iron, 26 is the only integer that is one greater than a square (52 + 1) and one less than a cube (33 − 1). A rhombicuboc has twenty-six faces.
Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)
Why do doctors have to practice?
You'd think they'd have got it right by now
Hmmm - well perhaps David is also trying to work it out. Hello Bill :) Hello Mikey. - horrible news on your computer. I'm not sure if it'll make you feel better about it, but a quick estimate of your estimate is pointing at...
26 hours...
spookily ...
@Jay. I'd offer advice on the medication but it would probably be actionable, so I won't. I'm sorry to hear you need it though :(
For anyone not up to speed, today is the weekend, people :) I hope you all enjoy it.
Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.
Hi Annie, good to see you back :-) Glad to be vertical myself actually for a change!
Now your comment sbout it being the weekend. Colloquially it is meant to refer to Saurday and Sunday. But it actually marks the end of the 5 day working week, and the beginning of two days of rest. Strictly speaking the end of the week is midnight on Sunday, when a new week starts.
Ok, got the message, I better go back to bed :-)))

The instructions on Clonezilla still don't make sense.

@Mikey - A frustrating turn
@Mikey - A frustrating turn of events, sir. :-[ Good luck with your endeavours. I trust the week out of town will be an enjoyable and relaxing one.
In light of discourse elsewhere, I am somewhat hesitant in suggesting the discussion on kangaroo island involves front teeth, Mr Hewson ?
;-)
Always sobering to hear. :-(
