The picture of the test firing reminds me alot of that WWII photo of the German General sitting in his chair when things went CATASTROPHICALLY wrong and he was vaporized in the explosion!!! They mixed the chemicals and BOOM!!!!!

But yesterday the most recent Starlink launch scored one of two fairing halves, and they got a very pretty daytime video which appears to show it nicely away from all the net edges.

While full-screen is a bit blurry, it still improves the immersive effect. Silencing the sound avoids Muzak and loses nothing useful.

just watched it from the street in front of my house. the horizon glowed a bright orange when they lit the engines. Just like the good old days - apollo, discover and now dragon. It felt good and we needed some good news!!

I watched it go up on my laptop and then ran outside and saw it head up the East Coast past me in North Carolina!! It had a REALLY nice plume as it went by!!!
