When I sign on to the Einstein program, it hangs up my computer when the graphics appear too long and I don't know what to do. I have to actually cut off the computer physically with the button and restart it again. By hanging up, I mean it blacks out my screen and pops in and out quickly but it never returns to the screen at all.
What causes this? I have no problems using the Seti program at all, just the Einstein program.

Hi babs,
your CPU is an "Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Solo CPU U3500 @ 1.40GHz", so I guess it is a laptop of sorts. Usually they are not designed to run full steam over a long period. My first guess is, that you have some heat related issues.
But maybe it is just related to your graphics driver. E@H runs fine without the screensaver avtivated.

I too think it's heat related, your laptop is chewing more juice than usual with the E@H work units plus the screensaver. As Michael says try without the screensaver. In addition consider a laptop cooler rather like this. It's at least doubled the lifetime of laptops that I know of ( with or without E@H ) and the right designs are quiet.
Cheers, Mike.
I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...
... and my other CPU is a Ryzen 5950X :-) Blaise Pascal

I use a pen to lift the laptop from the table. So the CPU cooler gets more fresh air. Alternatively you could use two wooden boards. This has the advantage, that the laptop does not tilt, if you use the keyboard.
