Screen saver locks moniter

I'm having problems with the Einstein screen saver. I'm attached to four projects Einstiein,rosetta,climateprediction, and LHC. They all share nicly untill the Einstien screen saver comes on. My display goes "static" when I try to recover nothing works. I have to Hard boot in order to recover. I have updated my video card driver. (Radeonx600). I'm still having problems. As best as I can tell it's only happing with Einstien. Thank You for any help.
