run_manager exiting with glibc invalid pointer

Kathryn, No problem about the thread, a little bit of humour helps the world go round.

I took your suggestion, but reinstalled from the source I had.
For some reason everything seemed to start from where it left off, as if nothing had happened.
In any event I am back processing again.
I have downloaded the dump version so if I get further problems I will try it.
