Twice now, when I download a WU, I get 2 (consectuive numbers) that show in my results but only single WU shows in BOINC.
Yes, I'm running 4.19... do I seriously need to upgrade? I'll need help to do that.

In my opinion everyone should be running at least 5.2.8. Any upgrade from 4.19 will require you to uninstall first. The uninstall should leave the data files behind and allow you to continue processing from that point.

Upgrading BOINC should definitely fix this 'ghost workunit' problem.
Thanks for the walk-through. Yes, I have successfuly (and painlessly) upgraded to 5.2.13. The ghost WUs have appeared in the flesh and have begun running.
I had more accurate Time to Completion using 4.19, but progess often involves give and take.
See what happens when you dont pay attention for a few days, you miss a lot!
I finally gave up trying to fix it and and I killed the old client and installed the new one. On first connect it caught the ghost WUs but still would not remove the WUs I had already reported. I got mad at it, shut it all down and waited a half hour, on first connect after client restart it caught itself and removed them. I dont get it, but its working now.

If you decide to upgrade BOINC, this message (and thread) should provide the help you need.

Time to Completion estimates should get better after BOINC 5.2.13 runs a few WU's and "learns" how to estimate.
