I believe my clock has always been right, checked at least half dozen sites today-all confirm. Have checked todays message logs against server logs several times and find nothing. I do see in server logs a "user id" which is different than host id. Maybe thats what I should look for? (84489 on my msg board tag?)

Back again and seeing double from scrolling through all these logs. I'm about ready to surrender and uninstall all this stuff. Folding@Home is working quite smoothly, and my main goal was to do *something* useful with my pc. Much as I'd

Humour me for just a bit more. I've just taken an event out of one of my boxes, done the local time/UTC shuffle - here the time is UTC + 10 hours - and gone and found the event in the server logs.
BINGO!! First file I look in and there it is with both my UserID and CPUID and I can easily find it both ways.
I'm using tabs in Mozilla with all the information I need just a tab click away. With the one minute log file open on a tab, I use Edit -> Find in this page... and I put either my UserID or my CPUID in the search box and click Find. The page immediately snaps down to the first occurrence of the search string and there are all the beautiful gibberish lines of the server log about my little old transaction.
So all we have to do is work out what is wrong with the maths for your case. We simply must be looking in the wrong log slice.
Please right click your clock and -> Adjust Date/Time and go to the Time Zone tab. You see your world map so please tell us what it says there for time zone. Thank you.

Gary-was just there re-synchronizing with NIST server. Time zone map indicates GMT-10hr (Hawaii). By the way, I seem to recall trying to set up "precision" whatever some mentioned, but couldn't override what Roadrunner does. In any case I have been checking as much as 6 min. either side of times showing in my logs. Using IE (I know, I know. Old dogs, new tricks.) so not sure about search you describe. Would save a lot of scrolling. Will check it out.

One last thing - please check my maths and tell me if this is where you are looking too. Your most recent error 500 was at:-

12/11/2005 4:23:03 PM|Einstein@Home|Temporarily failed upload of l1_0110.0__0110.0_0.1_T01_S4lD_3_0: error 500
This means UTC was 16:23:03 + 10 hrs ie 02:23:03 the next morning, Dec 12. So we should be looking at this log file called "sched_logs/2005-12-12_02/2005-12-12_02:23.txt" or the previous one because of the closeness to the minute boundary. Is this what you've been doing?
Here's what I've now done - all steps with a +/- 5 mins band just in case. I've checked 01:23, 02:23, 03:23 and even assumed your log might already be UTC so checked 16:23 the previous day. All no joy.
CONCLUSION: There isn't a log entry for this error event. Perhaps the error is being caused BEFORE there is any talking to the server so the server doesn't get to write anything in the log - just a guess. To test, you need to pick an entry where the communication succeeded and then try to find your CPUID in the log. If you can then I'm sure Bruce would love to know about this.
How did you find that? what led you to 12-9 10:02? My first report of this was 12/5/2005. Don't recall anything but failure since then. When I close BOINC Manager, old message logs disappear. Are they casched anywhere?

One last thing - please check my maths and tell me if this is where you are looking too. Your most recent error 500 was at:-
This means UTC was 16:23:03 + 10 hrs ie 02:23:03 the next morning, Dec 12.
Cheers,
Gary.

How did you find that? what led you to 12-9 10:02? My first report of this was 12/5/2005. Don't recall anything but failure since then. When I close BOINC Manager, old message logs disappear. Are they casched anywhere?
