Recovering with only the authenticator

How do I recover access to the project with only the authenticator?

I recently lost access to the email account password recovery messages go to for me.

I then also had a hard drive failure on the computer I had connected to the project; this keeps that computer from booting.

That computer also had an SSD drive; I was able to recover the authenticator from that drive, but not the password.

I'm now trying to connect my replacement computer to the project.

I was able to PARTIALLY log in with the authenticator only.  However, when I then tried to change the password, it would not let me do so without entering the old password at the bottom of the form.

The Albert@home project has the same problem.

How do I get past this problem?
