It only seem to effect ABP uploads. Downloads are fine. S5GCE's get through just fine (different server I believe). Work for other projects seems to be be fine as well, so I presume its not a DNS issue i'm seeing. It still seems to be happening since my first post.
The uploads usually squirt through their 3 or 4k and then don't get Ack'ed and eventually give up. This looks like the server is being overwhelmed by lots of traffic and just can't keep up.

You could try OpenDNS to avoid whatever your ISP has setup for DNS resolution.
i have google dns as primary, open dns as secondary, and my ISP's dns as terciary in my router for the lan :)

edit: markj how do you get the pasted text like that?
seeing without seeing is something the blind learn to do, and seeing beyond vision can be a gift.
Somebody needs to enable (and possibly , too) in cc_config.xml, fillet out some error messages, and post them (just the error messages, not the whole log) here for Bernd to see.
If uploads even start, then it's not a DNS issue - that would be 'Can't resolve host name' or similar, as the Mac users were getting with v6.10.44
(No sign of an error here, but I'm not doing much Einstein at the moment: the tasks I can see are all S5GCE).

I tried, but either I did it wrong, or I have too old a version of BOINCmgr (6.10.45).
I added this to the section of my cc_config.xml

Anyway, I put the tags the right place, restarted BOINCmgr, and forced one upload retry. This is the section copied from near the end of stdoutae.txt that closely mimics what I see in the BOINCmgr messages tab, but allows me to copy and paste.
I think this is probably typical of a single upload failure.
