Or put all the computers in

Or put all the computers in one room with windows open and circulating airflow, with doors closed and AC cooling the rest of the house.

Best scenario. Close off the supply and register vents for that room to isolate it from the A/C system.  Close door. Open all the windows in the room with box fan pulling in air from one window and box fan fan exhausting air from another window preferably on opposite sides of the room.

The only room available for that doesn't have two windows.

I guess short of an outside "dog house" or shed this isn't going to fly.

Today I am experimenting with just my Epyc-Monolith running.  If the living room doesn't get too hot that probably is my "solution" for when the outside gets above the mid 80'sF.

I think the best situation

I think the best solution will just be to accept the situation and reduce the heat load by turning off systems you can’t cool. Don’t sacrifice your health and comfort for internet points.

Exactly I can tell you that at a bit over 1 Trillion Boinc credits I STILL can't go to Dunkin Donuts and buy a cup of coffee with them!!!

It looks like I should be able to run a too-hot system from October to May.

A few times in the summer

A few times in the summer where I am it gets hot and I have all the desktops upstairs in my place but I have the window open 24/7 until winter with a 24in fan in the window with the screen unattached but still on the outside of that fan........the good thing is it is cool at night so like right now when I went to check them just before 3am it is COLD up there.......probably 50 degrees outside.

The laptops are all in a row where the cool air is blowing and I have the side panels off of all of them so the cards and cpu's all have the little fans blowing and the cool outdoor air blowing across all 8 desktops

Of course some places are still hot during the night compared to the NW  compared to friends I have in Arizona and Texas right now.

In that case they use fancy coolers in their boxes instead of just fans and I know if it came to that I would just upgrade the cooling systems........or if it came right down to it we have a heat pump now that is also a/c so I could use that if I moved them all downstairs into the kitchen........but I think she would stop cooking the food if I tried that so not very likely

Been a nice June here this year so the hot week(s) will be in July or August here.

I use tthrottle on my

I use tthrottle on my computers. it is from efmer.com.  it limits the processing of work units to keep CPU and GPU temperatures down.

When it gets hot here I'll also set boinc to run only in the morning and at night.
