5 of my 7 motherboards are 2nd hand, I got them all working fine, you just need perseverance. In fact almost all my hardware is second hand, apart from some NVMEs that were only 20% more expensive for new versions, and the 2nd hand owners refused to give me a lifetime remaining from HWInfo etc.
