    They are not SSE instructions and AMD K10 processors support them.
    (MONITOR and MWAIT were introduced with SSE3 together.)

      OK, so the AMD SSE2 appears to be perfectly good after all.

      To use with ICC, just nobble (circumvent) ICC's "AuthenticAMD" test and gain the full optimisations for AMD (and/or other non-Intel?) CPUs...
