I was exspecting the w/u in transfer at 100% to vanish but it hasn't.
I going to leave these 2 w/us as they are and see what happens but it looks to me like I have a problem with my account getting permision to upload data I know sometimes w/us can be a day or two before they transfer but thats because of server down time. I have tried different PCs different OSs fresh down loads of Boinc about the only thing that it can be is a problem with the account.

A couple of points about the uploading of results. When a transfer says 100% please realise that this is probably what the local BOINC client says it has put into the pipeline and not necessarily what the server at the other end has actually received. When the server has received 100%, I presume it would send an acknowledgement to the client and when the client receives that acknowledgment then it would drop the transfer from the list and clean up. Each time you force with the update function, the client probably squeezes a few more bytes into the pipe but that doesn't really mean the server is receiving them. I don't really know why you are having stuck transfers as I don't see any evidence of this on any of my machines.

Ok I have found it "I think" checked the account"S" and out was running Boinc manager on one and Einstein on the other don't you just love AutoFill, removing the tick from the box. Sorry for being a bit of a idiot wasn't until I was reading it through that the penny dropped and I rememberd setting up the other account.

I don't really understand this last bit but I'm guessing that you have at least sorted out the reason for reverting to the old account when logging into the website - ie autofill of login data. I note that your most recent post is from the new account so you are at least now posting and crunching from the same account.

I wouldn't expect that this, on its own, will cure the stuck transfers. In your local environment, your vital information is stored in your account file, account_einstein.phys.uwm.edu.xml and the state file, client_state.xml. So I imagine your local BOINC client would happily know its true identity, irrespective of how you actually login to the website to browse stats and post messages, etc. This would be the identity under which the computer is currently registered.

I don't think Boinc Manager has anything to do with it as the manager is simply providing an interface so that you can examine what the client is up to. It's just reporting on the status of the client for you to see. So I don't understand what you mean when you say you are running the manager on one account and einstein on the other. You are running the BOINC client which is controlling the Einstein science app. BOINC would be downloading tasks and uploading results as required and the manager is just reporting the progress for your convenience. The manager also provides a convenient interface for you to control the client if you wish.

I'd certainly be interested to hear if anything has changed as a result of changing your website login to the new account.

Cheers,
Gary.

Kind of similar to this

Kind of similar to this one..

If uploading fails, but access to the reference sites (search engines etc) succeeds, to me it looks alike a problem with fire wall, proxy, web-accelerator software... anything that is getting in the way between boinc core client and the E@H server.

OK, sorry to hear that things didn't get sorted for you. I don't know whether it's significant or not but do you realise that you are back posting with your "old" user ID again?

Also, I've just checked and the computer registered on your new account is still showing as attached with 2 tasks currently in progress. Have you actually crunched both of those and are they refusing to upload? In fact, it's even more curious because apparently that same computer is registered with a new cpuID, 1052971, on your old account. This registration was done on 20/11/07 and there are 4 current tasks listed. Do you actually have 2 separate BOINC installations on that machine in 2 separate folders?? If you could sort this out I think your problems would disappear.

Cheers,
Gary.
