I'm sure I saw a message from you at one point where you said you had done that. Knowing how dedicated you are, I would have been most surprised if you hadn't reported it. As I don't follow the BOINC lists, I wasn't aware of what has happened subsequent to your report.

Cheers,
Gary.

Well, I spoke to Rom about

Message 79951 in response to message 79950

Well, I spoke to Rom about it, who spoke to David about it, who in turn contacted John about it, who contacted me back. We're still looking into things, such as what AV people use as that seems related, but it should be fixed in 5.10.45

It only happens on multiple CPU systems and only when they throttle. I was already glad I figured that out. ;-)

In the mean time, since I am still researching this one (and Gary, I already contacted the devs on it :-)), can you tell me what your anti virus software is?

Sure thing:
Computer Associates eTrust ezAntiVirus
ver: 7.0.7.12
Engine Version 31.1.0

(I know, I know, but it came freebie with a purchase somewhere, and really, I've found it's MUCH easier to just smoke the system and start fresh if I get a virus than to take hours or days trying to fix the damage, THEN smoking the system anyway)

Looks pretty normal. You can see that BOINC is seeing the 2 virtual processors and seems to be swapping your various projects between them OK. Also looks like you restarted things just after 5.00PM and have omitted some of the startup messages. Are all tasks in progress working correctly? - ie accumulating CPU time and increasing the % completed figures?

Everything *seems* to be working OK now. And actually, I didn't omit anything from the message, just clicked the "copy all messages" button and pasted it here. The percentace complete is increasing now, and the software is now showing my username, instead of "default". I'll stop back if the other parameters stay at zero...
