I also did some looking at this error (not familiar with it) and you seem to be correct. It seems non-specific and without a fix unless there is a future update that addresses it. You might not be able to process these work units for now. Just keep periodically trying after driver updates.
Have you tried brp7/meerKat to see if it runs reliably?

Tom, yes I have and they do.
Thank you. It is good to hear you are not totally locked out of participating on e@h with your GPU.

Fixed the core clock to 4.2GHz paired with Tesla P100 for this host. No other cpu project is running.
With 3 tasks per gpu, average run time is about 630 secs when staggering the 3 tasks. Run to run variation is small (look for those between 1880 - 1890 secs range). About 1.37M PPD. GPU board power fluctuates from 80W to 130W.
How often do you spend time trying to get the tasks staggered? I keep ending up on 3x with all tasks running on the cpu.

I run 2 at a time on one pc and everytime I look at the pc, twice a day, they are synced!! So I suspend one and it starts a new task and after a few minutes I resume the suspended task and it picks back up from where it left off after 1 of the 2 running tasks is complete.
Apparently 4x is my sweet spot on my EVGA Rtx 3080 ti. That and Overclocks of +21/+1500.
I FINALLY made it onto the bottom of the Top 50 list. I still need to determine if 5x produces more production, less production or the same (within a reasonable variation of processing time).
Happy Friday!

Then the 4x production fell off for some reason and I dropped out of the bottom of the Top 50. So I successfully experimented shoehorning a second (Dell) Rtx 3080 ti into the system. Running at 3x. It is back in the Top 50 at near 26th place now.
In theory, 4x should still be the sweet spot. Once the current e@h rac stabilizes I may try 4x again.
Or maybe not. It is running well enough to get me into the top 30. And it will never make it into the top 3 or 4. So whatever is good enough :)
Maybe.

I wonder if I potentially have 256 minions?

What version of the AMD software are you using? Have you tried the latest drivers?

I've used both the latest Adrenaline (gaming) and Pro (business) drivers.

What is your screen resolution when it happens? I wonder if crunching and a maxed out resolution is the culprit. You aren't gaming too are you?
