Two milestones:
Passed 2 million mark on Einstein@Home this week, on my original Mac Pro (2 times 2 cores).
Also two years since I started contributing on 11-11-2006.
1 Million credits on Einstein@Home! Finally. Guess that makes me and Einstein millionaire! It's "only" taken since February 11, 2005 to reach this milestone.
Now, if the credits were only redeemable for cash, it would be even more exciting!
One million for me as soon as some of my pending credit comes through. Just like someone a few posts before me, it has only taken a few years (since Sept.11, 2006). Almost the whole million done on one machine (oc'ed q6600's kicks ass) and only for einstein@home. According to boincstats.com that's almost good enough to get into the top 10,000 accounts. When I first started I had no idea I would follow through for the next couple years. I may even start using a second machine soon. It's an older d805 so I'm not sure it would be worth the electricity (both those cores do not equal one of my q6600) but I'm not using it for anything else at the moment. Once people start using Nehalems, one million won't mean very much anymore. With 8 cores, one million will just fly right by. Another million will mean just as much to me though and be just as much fun. In a couple years maybe I'll be able to post another million.

Yep, this is quite nice number and it is rare chance to see it, so it should be marked here as an unusual (unique) milestone.
