I am a Linux user (SuSE). I just download the BOINC package (*.sh file) in my home directory and install it. Then I start first the client with the run_client script, then the BOINC manager with the run_manager script. I use the manager to attach to the projects I want and to check the runs. I run Einstein,SETI,QMC,AQUA, CPDN and LHC(when available). I am using optimized apps only in SETI, the others are all stock apps.

Thanks, Michael. I have downloaded 11.2 just in case but I won't install it as long as 11.1 is supported by SuSE.
