I can't find the original threads dedicated to this problem, so sorry for the redundant thread...
A while ago, the Mac OS X client had a problem when finishing the WU, it would sometimes hog all the processing power for days and days for a calculation that should have taken just a few minutes at the most. Of course there was no checkppoint for what was to be a quick calculation. I recall this had something to do with a compare function that had an iteration maximum set way to high. This was allegedly fixed in the new 4.78 client.
I am sorry to say that I had to detach once again because of this problem. Here are some of the offending WUs. Two give a download error because I deleted the WU while still attached. The others are going to eventually report as "no reply."

I apologize to my fellow crunchers for holding up your credits. I've still got my Windows [shudder] computer crunching E@H and would love to put the Mac back in action if this problem is fixed.
And if the problem is specific to my computer and not the client error from before, then I have no idea how to diagnose that.
