I finally got it working (see Applications page). There's now a (Beta test) FGRPB1G App that uses the Apple_M GPU. Couple of hacks needed on the server side that look a bit dirty to me, but it seems to work.
For that bit of computation on the CPU the translation doesn't make much of a difference. But FGRPB1G ran out of work last night anyway. We're working on a native Apple Silicon App for BRP4G, but we still don't get valid results from that.
