This weekend is the Spa 24 Hour, for which I would like to point out that we have a local team ( Lago ) in the Gold section ( ProAm, effectively GT3 class ) and to date the only Lamborgini in the field. Not to mention a few other Aussies/NZ : Craig Lowndes, Shane Van Gisbergen.
Cheers, Mike.

Unless of course it was all a big experiment in human emotions and we Boinc users were the guinea pigs!! In which case I hope the person that did NEVER comes forward as that could create ALOT of animosity towards them. People don't like being toyed with like they are a bunch of rats in cages!!
Yes Facebook was doing it, afterwards they said it was 'for research'. I am not on Facebook either, I just don't care for their policies, or for the fact that an acknowledged hacker started it. He broke into other colleges admin records, stealing names, pictures and other data so HIS college guys could get dates! Now he has a website that attracts millions of people to it, and they expect him to NOT hack their data. He's already said 'if you post it it belongs to me' meaning ANY thing you post is not his to use as he pleases!! This was NOT supposed to be an anti Facebook rant, sorry!
I am WINNING!!! As is Vincenzo Nibali in the Tour de France, after a very though mountain stage yesterday they will do it AGAIN today of 145.5km and MORE mountains. For those that don't know they rate the moutains by the difficulty of the climb, the steeper and higher the lower the number, ie 5 is easy, 1 is hard. "HC" means 'hard category' or 'beyond category' and is WORSE then a number one mountain. As you can see below they have TWO of those today!!
Where the Heck is Lance Armstrong ? With all the drugs in his system,
he should be leading the pack - Again !
just kidding - I know they booted him a few years ago )

Lance is now being sued by the USPS who want ALL their money back alleging he lied to them, I have no idea if they can get it or not though. He rode for a 'foundation', that could mean he is flat broke and has no money to get. Besides not EVERYONE on the team was accused of, or convicted of, doing drugs, how do you separate one from another?
Anyway Vincenzo Nibali WON the stage today and now has a lead of 7 minutes and 10 seconds over the 2nd place guy, the race is essentially over and they have put in a call for the fat lady to make her way to Paris! Nibali could only lose at this point if he fell off and quit! However the 2nd place spot on the podium has NOT been decided yet, it is separated by a mere 15 seconds between 3 guys and will be hard fought thru the time trial on Saturday. An American guy is currently 6th and is 11.5 minutes behind Nibali, but only 4 minutes and 20 seconds behind the 2nd place guy. The American guy is a VERY good time trial rider, so maybe if he can gain some time in tomorrows stage he will stand a chance for a podium finish on Sunday in Paris. On Sunday the guys almost NEVER race for position unless it is less then 60 seconds, it is stage 21 of the race and they feel if they haven't done it by then, tough noogies!! The riders that DO fight in Paris though are the sprinters, it is the last chance to wear the winners jersey until next years race and it is 'special'.
Our Lago guys are mid-field after day qualifying, about 2 seconds off the pace. Not bad for a ~ 140 second lap time. Mind you, all bar a handful out of about 50 cars are within 3 seconds. Being a 24 hour event these differences are infrequently crucial, in any case race setups differ substantially from qualifying.
And ... Craig Lowndes came 9th in the night qualifying !! Only 2 seconds off the pace, had never driven there before ...
Cheers, Mike.

Craig was born on a go-kart ! :-)
Not really, but he is our current best endurance driver. Five time Bathurst 1000 winner etc. In the Lago team is Steven Richards who has won that race 3 times and his father Jim won 7 times. These guys have natural talent, early exposure plus massive focus and patience.
Cheers, Mike.
