Fixed it, stupid Windows.  My other machine works ok.

So what was the point here?  So some Disney stuff got banned, yet I've seen most of them.  So only banned in the middle east or something?  So what?

You are coming by after a message has been hidden, likely for being argumentative.  That message was claiming how no one takes offense to the language in movies.  The point being people do take offense to movies, even Disney ones.

As to middle east remember this is a world wide forum so it is seen in the middle east.  There are places in the world where if you insult the Sovereign it is an automatic death sentence, and he decides what an insult is.

How to say this politely; some people are provincialist.

I replied to a message which is still there.

It seemed to be making the point there are people who actually take offense to Disney, so are insane.  If someone takes offense to everything, who cares what they think?

If you take it that far it's not possible to speak at all on here.  You just insulted the sovereign for suggesting he's going overboard.

The dictionary says that means old fashioned.  But we're not living 50 years in the past.

An example: There's no freedom of speech in Germany when it comes to symbols, slogans, abbreviations of Nazi ideology like the swastika in all forms, the abbreviation "SS" in runic script and so on... There's also a large number of ancient Germanic symbols, newly created symbols, flags, abbreviations used by today's Nazi fanatics that are illegal too. It's a constant game of cat and mouse between  fanatics and the police. Difficult to decide what's legal.

§86a StGB (German penal code) "Use of signs of anti-constitutional and terrorist organizations"

There are exceptions if symbols are used in their historic context (e.g. for movies or documentaries), if they are intended to explain history. The boundaries are difficult to discern, it depends on the judge. There is a German movie "Das Boot" (WW2 submarine warfare in the Atlantic) from 1981 where historically correct uniforms can be seen. In a 2018 remake as a TV series, all the uniforms have been altered and don't show such symbols anywhere. It wouldn't be legally necessary, but it was probably the easier way for the producers. Maybe they wanted to hinder fanatics from abusing any scenes of the film.

As for the Donald comic "Fuehrer's Face". I had never heard or seen anything about it until today. I learned that it was never shown or performed anywhere in Germany. Disney kept it in a vault after the war until 2004 for a U.S. DVD edition. The comic could easily be featured in a documentary here if the historical context is explained. So far nobody has done that.
