Good afternoon all.  We're

Good afternoon all.  We're starting out with a thundery afternoon.  I've had my morning cuppa coffee and all is right in the world.  I'm ready for summer to be over.  I much prefer winter, even with the feet of snow that comes with it.  Plus everyone's lawns are equal in the winter.  :)

Epic example.

Were you anywhere near a water storage tank in a roof space somewhere in London during what could be described as last night my time, Mike? It's why I'm posting from a laptop with no need (yet) of being plugged into the electricity supply - which when it does - I won't...

I deny anything and everything. Besides I'm quite damp at the moment and jet-lagged after a long plane trip .....

And does anyone have any idea how long after your light sockets stop dripping water, it's safe to turn on your mains electricity supply to see what, if anything, is still working?

Key point : get someone to look at this ie. electrician.

Cheers, Mike.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

College was MIT, and yes, some of the bathroom graffiti were pretty amazing.

Ah, but did he remember to make his past tense verbs end with "ed" when they should?

Scott: agreed, that is way too hot. But what was the dew point at the time?

[edit]

I forget. Who's in charge of this thread anyway?

[edit 2] (which was what I originally intended to say in the first place)

Arjin: If you think that's appropriate.

Jadzia Dax: Oh I'm... sure it isn't appropriate at all. But then I... hate to be appropriate.

Good evening everyone.

Good evening everyone.  Smile

@David,

I don't know what the dew point was.  However; the air is quite dry right at this time of year.  No rain will fall until LATE next month; IF we have a "normal" October.  With the drought situation; I don't know what we're in for here...  Frown

We have Spring rains, which

We have Spring rains :

melb_rain.jpg

which is nice and reminds me of incy/ipsy/itsy wispy/wipsy/bitsy/wincy/dipsy spider :

Quote:
The itsy-bitsy spider

Climbed up the water spout
Down came the rain
And washed the spider out
Out came the sun
And dried up all the rain
And the itsy-bitsy spider

Climbed up the spout again

which probably means either : never give up OR if it is really raining then just sit it out. Cool

Cheers, Mike.

The itsy-bitsy SetiSent

The itsy-bitsy Seti
Sent everything up the spout
Down came some workunits
Then they washed everyone out
Outrage was finished
And dried up all the Astropulse
And the itsy-bitsy Seti
Continued on again.

Boom Boom :-)))

If your dew point was even as

If your dew point was even as low as 50, that's much less BLEEAAAAAHHH of an 87 than my 87 with a dew point of 71.
