Finally, just in time for the new batch of Line Veto workunits, I've gotten around to compiling a non-preemptive kernel for my Debian machine. That's the last of the problem machines, so we'll see how it all goes.
So far, so good with my home-brew non-preemptive Linux kernels. It appears that I haven't lost a single one of the new Line Veto workunits while running with the homebrew kernels.
There's a lot to be said for rolling your own! (Kernel, that is.)
