Thanks for your input Gary,

Thanks for your input Gary, the card is a stock Saphire RX 580 Pulse.

Apple is delivering the drivers for supported AMD cards with the System, so the Firmware of the card is standard PC Firmware (it has a double BIOS but I use the gaming one as this one is promoted to be more stable for general use than the computing one). There is no Bootscreen until the system has loaded the drivers. How Apple has implemented Open CL I don't know but in general AMD cards perform much better than NVIDIA ones on macOS at least by my experience then again I've heard that Apple isn't that great in doing the AMD drivers but AMD is very good with Open CL support while NVIDIA isn't.

I recently was in contact with game developers because of graphics issues and they were going crazy saying apple completely messed up the graphics in 10.13 and 10.14 and they work hard to get the game updated but haven't figured out how to solve the issues back then. So maybe this is purely a macOS thing.

Still when looking at the RAC of over 300.000 with the FGRP tasks, running one at a time, I think the card itself is doing quite well.

Hi Gary, Thanks for the

Hi Gary,

Thanks for the update. I disabled the GW O1 O2 projects and it went back to normal. If it is not a problem - can you later give more information on why it behaved so strangely?

I mean why it went to 63% in an hour (using about 30%gpu) and then dropped to 0% with a sluggish increase. It is just a testing phase of the app?

Best

Pawel
