I see only x64 AVX windows

I see only x64 AVX windows app. Is this feature available only in 64-bit environment? If not, may I ask to build a x86 AVX app?

Hello stranger.. also keep an eye on this thread, it may be a boinc version issue.

Yup. On two machines I've had runtimes from 39K through 95K for v1.03. Quicker on the Linux box. But going well though, just awaiting quorum. These hosts do nothing except BOINC and wait for me to turn up after work ....

Five tasks have validated over both hosts, no problemo and at 1000 credits each ! :-)

Cheers, Mike.

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

... and my other CPU is a Ryzen 5950X :-) Blaise Pascal

RE: I changed the scheduler

I changed the scheduler such that writes the 'features' string it gets from the client to the logs if it finds a feature missing for a plan class. Possibly there is a spelling problem.

Or, possibly the features string has been truncated and the missing feature (avx, avx2) is in the truncated bit. I know that the scheduler request contains both of these but the scheduler doesn't find them - see this message.

At least I hope this is a correct analysis and that it can be easily fixed :-).

Cheers,
Gary.

Sounds reasonable. I'll look into that.

Thanks for the fix. All

Thanks for the fix. All working properly now.

With the advent of V1.04, a small comment about what's changed, etc., would be appreciated, thanks.

Cheers,
Gary.

AVX tasks crash on my Opteron

AVX tasks crash on my Opteron 1210 running SuSE Linux Leap 42.1. X64 tasks finish OK an are waiting for validation.

Here is the GW tasks list for your Opteron 1210 running Linux. You currently have 4 tasks - all assigned to the X64 app.

Are you thinking of a different host?

Cheers,
Gary.

Sorry, we're all eager to get

Sorry, we're all eager to get the O1 search out of Beta test status, but we still find some problems. The technical issues seem to be sorted out with 1.03, 1.04 contains a fix for a problem in the "science" part.
