Do you mean the fastest Linux S5R3 App or the fastest S5R3 App alltogether? The Intel-Macs should be able to boot Ubuntu (at least after the firmware update installed when installing BootCamp or Leopard), so anyone would give it a try to compare it to 4.22? A live-CD should do...

I got Knoppix running on my Mac mini even w/o firmware update. Will try to compare those versions, but my mini is a Core model only, the newer Core2 models will be more interesting. You are right, 4.22 could be faster, we'll see.
But that windows stuff in the app_info.xml is funny.
Sorry, the app_info.xml was derived from the Windows one. Maybe I should delete the tag altogether. All people having trouble on 64 bit: give it a try. Remove the line manually.
I removed the tags in the app_info.xml for Apps 4.25-4.27.
It's a pity, but this 4.27 app isn't faster than 4.21, at least on my AMD X2 5000+@3.34 GHz.
I compared the my times with an Opteron 185 of Steffen Grunewald running the regular 4.20 app., with which I shared some workunits.
With 3 results where I used the 4.21 app, I got the following time relations(Opteron[4.20] / X2[4.21]):
Yes, it seems there is no speedup also on Core2 arch. Im still working on some numbers for 4.21 vs 4.27 and will try to post a graph tonight (need more results), so far it doesnt look too good.
My laptop just started on its first 4.27 WU, so by tomorrow or the day after I'll at least be able to make some educated guesses about Core. What I can say now is: No crashes, no errors so far.
The two that were switched over in the middle of crunching do look a bit faster to me, but runtimes vary rather much on this machine so it might not be much more than luck...
I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 64 bit with the 5.10.30 boinc-client.
The "Show Graphics" button in boinc manager doesn't produce any output.
But if I open a terminal and run the einstein_S5R3_4.27_graphics_i686-pc-linux-gnu program with a workunit from slots/0 as parameter I get a perfect graphics window.

An Athlon XP here seems to be doing fine.
Thanks :)

Looks like the fastest S5R3 app so far. Runs fine on one of my PIIIs , it's very cool that the oldtimers will benefit from vectorization also!

Just installed over the last beta and both work units picked up where they left off. I'll report back tomorrow.

1. 46,617.49 / 35,572.90 = 1.310
Anyway, if the 'signal 11' errors are eliminated, this is a big benefit.cu,
