Although I have a 64 bit CPU

Although I have a 64 bit CPU (AMD Opteron 1210) I have installed a 32 bit Linux (SuSE 10.3) and I never have a compute error on Einstein, QMC. CPDN, CPDN Beta, LHC and SETI. I suspect that 32 bit apps on a 64 bit OS may run into problems. My BOINC is 5.10.45.

I personally believe the problem to be due to the development version of BOINC I'm using (6.3.14) but I'll try to detach and attach again.

Detaching didn't work. Same error after a few seconds (runtime varies a lot, from 187 to 10k seconds before the error).

I'll post what the project spits out:

That's definitely a data error - someone will have to check whether the corrupted data is only on your machine, or whether the whole data-set is malformed.

Any news? I'd like to compute a bit for the project..

The version of BOINC that you're using 6.3.14 is a Development version
(MAY BE UNSTABLE - USE ONLY FOR TESTING)

You could try using 6.2.15 Recommended version .

I already said that I need 6.3.14 to run GPUGrid so downgrading isn't a viable solution

Just a personal view, but as the second number 6.3.14 is odd, then I would say that version is ongoing BOINC work. And is therefore only for use by BOINC developers and their testers.
It should not be a required version by projects.

Well I can't see where you actally said why you needed it till now, just that you knew it was a development version. Since this is the case you may have to choose between one or the other project until they can get a version that works with both, unless it does turn out the whole data-set is malformed.

Sorry, my bad, you're right.

Anyway, I can live with having to choose between two projects. But I would like to be sure that the problem is due to the BOINC version.
