Horatio,
thx for your efford.
I disabled nVidia in my setting since at the moment I have only one pc with nVidia and I want to get cpu-wu's.
In a couple of days I will get back my testsystem which has ATI and nVidia, I will enable it then again.
I leave that for now. I will continue next Weekend.

Your PC's without Nvidia GPUs will only ask for CPU work, as they have no Nvidia GPU so can't ask for Nvidia work,
If you want to set different preferences for different sets of computers, you have four venues available, so you can set four different sets of preferences,
all you have to do is set the computers to their desired venue.
Im bumping this because it seems that this error is rather common on people trying to crunch BRPs on Kepler GPUs with Boinc 7 and Win 7 x64...
Downgrading to BOINC 6 seems to fix the issue, and It seems all that combined gives this error only on Einstein...
(Im not suggesting that there is a bug here on Einstein apps but, wherever the bug is, it seems to affect only this project...)
I was having this error on my new i7-3770K with Windows 7 64 bit.
I was on client version 7.0.28 64 bit and downgraded to 6.12.34 as other posts suggest users had had better luck with it.
I now get:
193 Einstein@Home 7/07/2012 1:17:06 AM [error] Process creation failed: The requested operation requires elevation. (0x2e4)
It seems like the ABPcuda32nv301 application just doesn't my computer setup (windows, nvidia drivers etc)
I was on graphics driver version 301.24 and have tried the latest beta drivers but the results are the same.
I am running BOINC as a user that has administrative privileges.
Has anyone figured out how to narrow down or solve the problem?
Have I perhaps just missed an important security adjustment that allows the BOINC or Einstein to run without issue in windows 7?
Downgrading to 6.10.60 solved all my problems I was having, I like the older version one better anyway. Not having the messages as a tab is irritating. Eventually I'll have to upgrade for the added feature set though.
Are any of you all that had these problems running "Lavasoft Adaware"? I had a feeling it may have caused the problem so I uninstalled it. It has a registry protector of some sort I guessed may have contributed to the problem.
By simply turning off UAC I got the CUDA application to start using BOINC 6.12.34
When I updated to 7.0.28 I went back to the same old error.
I have tried excluding the Einstein applications from DEP and also set them all to run as administrator and in compatibility mode for windows XP but no change so far.
I have seen references to setting permissions for video driver dlls in other posts but I havent seen any follow up posts claiming success onthis front.
It is almost certainly an issue with security privileges within the BOINC framework.
I would be interested to know if it is effecting all windows 7 users or just 64 bit.
Until recently I have been exclusively using windows XP for BOINC so I have some catching up to do as far as windows 7 specific security issues go.
I do have the same problem.
Boinc Client 7.0.28 (x64) installed May 19th
NVIDIA Driver 301.42 installed May 22nd
I did update especially for Einstein so the GPU would do the crunching. It used to work before and now it's all errors.
I did update my preferences at my Einstein Account today (July 10th).
Now I did get 3 WU's and I am checking whether the will be crunched or end up in errors again.

Edit: Nope. Crashed again instantly.
See this post by Ageless... Its not about the same error, but I guess that might be related...
I checked and my installation is in the right directories.
It used to run before with no problems. SETI and Einstein did use my GPU. SETI still does. Einstein stopped using the GPU.
So I installed Boinc 7.0.28 (x64) as it said that Einstein would use the GPU again. Since then all WU's are crashing.
