Einstein@home and virtual machine

Hi
Since i have downloaded the E@H program and running it my virtual machine on my macbookpro does not want to work at all.
Is there something i should know about E@H program, does it use any kind of Virtual Machine, is there any relationship between E@H and my virtual machine program
