..."Happy, Happy, Happy Fun" over and over (both in Korean and English). They play it all the time at E-Mart (like Wal-Mart). What the E stands for I'll never know...
Hi Kathryn,
I asked a gal who's here, from there, who (coincidently) spells her "family name" here in the States as "Lee", as started by the first Korean president (WWII era), and she explained that the "E" in 'E-mart' is that very same Korean family name, without the "L", and, BTW, different owners than the folks who operate Wal-mart. I like your sig, happy happy happy crunching :)
Thanks so much. That is so cool. I will pass that along to my roommie (who is also from the states). I'm in Korea as an ESL teacher. Been here almost 4 months now. And I love it. The people are great. Tell your friend "thank you".
Hey, there's a certain quality missing of late, a certain furry, orange, buggy-eyed, bushy-tailed bundle of fiery wit. She's probably getting twice the work done in half the time by working four times as smart, but I fear foul play from Basingstoke and it's entirely my thick-as-you-know-what-headed fault, so if any of you other TFFE team members know what's up, please let Es99 know that my mate has sisters who live there who can give her safe passage if she ever needs it...

Hi Chipper, I've been around. I've been (inadvertently - I'm innocent I tell ya, innocent) causing trouble over at cafe Seti and I feel I've been far to grumpy to post anywhere as civilised as Einstein. But I could see that you had Kathryn and Kajunfisher to talk to so I knew you'd be in safe hands. (Well, as safe as you can be with anyone from TFFE)
If I ever get the urge to go to Basingstoke I may have to take your mates offer up of safe passage. I heard they've got posters of me up in the town centre offering a pack of fags and 6 cans of Redbull for information on my whereabouts.
Hey, what happened to the skinny alien? I like the new motto, and practice it when I can, my roller blades notwithstanding. Is roller blading permitted in the Cafe? (Ha! Too late!!)
Kathryn, thought I'd mention that after my Mom did a stint as a "domestic engineer" (technically raising my 3 siblings and me, some of us twice) she went back to teaching, specifically ESL, but it was here in the States, in the wonderful western 'burbs of the City of Broad Shoulders. It's an endearing task you have, to be sure.
Oh, Es99, you broke the mold, dint ya? When I told my mate that you referred to me as "old chap", he said I should say, "Oy, bird, less old!" Also, I wanted to send a 'Thank-you' email to the author of the English-American Dictionary, as well as a suggestion to include "spot on" (in Aussie it's "duck's nuts"), if you concur. :)
LOL! It was all those pictures you posted over at TFFE board that gave it away ;-)

Alright Chipper, don't get out yer pram. ;-) I'm sure you're not old. Not if you still roller blade.

If talking to me is safe, I'd hate to see what dangerous is! :)

Hmmm, well, Kajunfisher is mostly harmless, he just has a habit of typing with his forehead and hats tend to upset him.
Kathryn is perfectly safe as long as you don't let her near any of the sharp cutlery.
