Does anyone else remember that bit in 'The Ring' where the fly is crawling around inside the TV screen then it flies out? I just had a moment like that with my computer monitor.

I think I need to get more sleep.

A fly lands on the screen of my monitor every once in a great while; always figured it was one of the nearsighted ones...

@ Dan: that brings back fond memories of the southwest corner of the basement, when I was a youngster. Glad everything's okay!

Ahhh ... several months ago I tried to adjust the position of my swivel mounted LCD monitor by moving the mouse to the appropriate corner of the screen!! :-)
Cheers, Mike.

( edit ) and last week I was copying down ( for tallying purposes ) some WU credit figures for one of my computers. Half way thru I thought of the 'print' function..... :-)

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

... and my other CPU is a Ryzen 5950X :-) Blaise Pascal

LOL! That goes up there with my favourite pastimes, trying to put the laundry in the fridge and answering the tv remote.

Hi Micahel, Captain Avatar has been making me some new avatars and I've been trying them on to see if they fit. So any Jungian symbolism is down to him! The current one is Fat Freddy's Cat playing croquet on Mars with a planet!

I tried this one over at seti in honour of May 1st, the worker's holiday:

Fat Freddy's Cat waving the Black Anarchist Flag.

I've been getting a whole load of minus's over there, but I suspect that's personal and not to do with the avatar!

Anyway, I'm very attached to my original avatar, so I will probably put him back at some point.. :-)

Es: Here is to Fat Freddy

Es: Here is to Fat Freddy and May Day!

A good friend now deceased told me that "If the people you are with do not appreciate you, you are with the wrong people." To carry the May Day theme a bit further, March in a parade where they are playing your music. Can you hear the tune?

I like your courage.

Thank you Michael! :-) Your friend's quote is very true.

Sometimes I find it hard to find a parade that's playing my music, but maybe that's true for everyone. (oh no..I feel another existential moment coming on. I must try to get more sleep!!)

Just put on your ear plugs and imagine the band is playing your song.
