I just installed my new RTX 3080 Ti. It runs 3 at a time. Run time is 220 seconds. That makes the run time for one task about 73 seconds. It is power limited not to 335W using nvidia-smi -i 3 -pl 330. Mem is +500 and GPU is +150. The GPU frequency bounces at both sides of 1905 MHz. Temperature is 64 C on air cooling. I'll try to up the performance a bit.
When I installed the new card I had to move my TITAN V to a slot that does not let it breathe. Its MHz dropped and run times increased. Something has to be done to that too.
From every time I've tried to overclock the core on a gpu, I find that the practical limit is about 40-80 Mhz depending on the card generation. Anything more just makes the card bounce more between frequency extremes.
The GPU Boost algorithm in the Nvidia cards is pretty well designed to achieve the highest sustained core clocks on its own for the most part. It works very well if you can keep the card within its normal or reduced power limits and can keep the temps down.
I find that it normally only needs a very slight OC boost to get a little bit higher average core clock over Auto.
Any more and it just bounces more erratically which I believe is probably not good for the task(s) running on the card.

I know that cooling my GPUs will heat up the house and that the summer is coming -- but my Jeans and the other family members clothing do dry in record time!
