During the last 3 years I've been at BOINC versions 5.8.x, 5.10.x, 6.2.x, 6.4.x, 6.6.x, 6.10.x - at least 10 updates
(just exit BOINC and install the new version over the previous)
You see the second number is even (8, 10, 2, ...) which means final version;
Your is odd (x.1.x) which means alpha/beta version.

I think 6.1.0 was a special (third party?) "optimised" version.
Yes, that was my impression as well. And in spite of the name, it actually has more in common with v5.8.xx, rather than any of the v6 ranges - so it doesn't follow the new spearate graphics app, sandbox security, etc standards, as well as not reporting elapsed time or supporting plan classes.
Yes it is crunch3s version.
I like this return results immediatly option.
Will upgrade to 6.10.58.
Do i have to reset the project or will it download the SSE2 version automatically ?
Mike
I think it should be automatic, but check after your next work download to be sure.
NB that only applies to Global Correlations work - ABP doesn't have differentiated CPU apps.
Thanks Richard.
Did it.
Another question.
Installed 6.10.58 but had to do on the other partition because its not allowed to install it in only one directory.
So choosed drive C: as usual, older version was on F:
Copied all tasks to the new install but it seems i lost them
I still have them on the other partition can i still use them ?
You should install anew and point the data directory to the (copy of the) old (single) BOINC directory.

Very good idea Gundolf.
Will let the work run dry i have left on this install.
Should be no problem with the deadline.
Or can i just copy the stuff to the old directory ?
Can i install over the top ?

Isn't that crunch3r's version

Isn't that crunch3r's version where you can set CPU-affinity? or the one that always reports tasks immediately?
Anyway, upgrading is a good advice I think.

nope, merging is not possible.
Yes.
No, as long as the account*.xml file are still there.
