Application errors with E@H

i'm getting the following error in event viewer when the E@H WU's try to run:

Application popup: einstein_4.79_windows_intelx86.exe - Application Error : The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click on OK to terminate the application.

Both WU's instantly go to 100% and it tries to download the next set of WU's. i had problems with the old WU's from a while ago (see my previous post) but this is a new error and has happened each time i have tried to connect. i posted a while back asking about the status of the repairs but never heard anything. i am beginning to suspect this is not a server related issue as most others seem to be working ok with the current wu's. what on my end could be causing the inability to run E@H? for the record i have also tried the older version of bionic (4.19) and it does the same thing. looks to be an error with the E@H application itself...
