I didn't "crash", it just took too long :) That's most likely because of the fact that it's a debug build which is less optimized. Yet the original issue appears to be resolved! We're going to deploy the optimize release build ASAP.
Yep, just saw that. There was a slight difference in the expected speed-up between the beta and the original release version. I fixed that now in our configuration (same app version). I expect that any new tasks you get will indeed work - if the new build isn't inherently slower somehow.
You may abort the existing tasks you have to speed things up at your end.
Overall the success rate of the beta approaches those of the previous builds, so that looks very promising. How many tasks are running on your device? Maybe I was a bit over-optimistic there and fewer would have been better ;)
As I told you in DM, currently hard to monitor, the wonderful Android BOINC App decided to not show the tasks anymore. All I can tell is that I have 8 cpus running on that device but Einstein is not the only project running.
So I'm running a maximum of 8 Einstein tasks but that might be less.
According to WUProp it's mostly running Einstein though:
Looks like my S8+ has difficulties to not exceed time. Out of 14 tasks, 11 failed because of time exceeded and 3 are still running. This one is running Android 9
Thanks for the update. That's why we're testing :) The overall error rate is currently at 6% but I adjusted the settings at our end again. Those changes affect newly downloaded tasks only, though.
Update: Wait! You said Android 9, that's a different app! Actually, that's good to know as this indicates that new beta app for Android 10+ isn't necessarily slower than the current stable app.

Ok, we released 1.51 (beta, for Android 10+ only) which should now run normally.
As explained above, we're going to keep it a while in beta for scientific validation.

Hi Oliver, you should have received some results back on friday I think.
Edit : My bad, I just checked and they took too much time once again.
