Yeah, I believe too that it can be actually useful to run these at this point. So the project staff will get some material for autopsy. In about 12 hours there will probably be someone deep inside Einstein@Home science nexus already analyzing why the fluids didn't circulate the way it was expected.
I feel like I am in the same boat. If after a day of processing my progress percentage and remaining time have not moved; what are my options? If I didn't know better I would think these boinc tasks are "frozen'.
How would people be able to give a sensible answer? You give no details about your hardware or what type of work you are crunching. You don't mention any messages from the event log or whether there have been any changes to hardware/software that might be interfering. Have you tried something simple like stopping and restarting BOINC? Does rebooting your machine make any difference? Your computers are 'hidden' so those willing to help can't even check for themselves.
If you don't want to give details, provide a link to your computer so people can check for themselves.
Yes, indeed! A little while ago I wrote a response in the Technical News thread where I saw one of Holmis' validate errors had now magically become validated :-). Looks very much like a problem where the validator was using incorrect parameters. I seem to remember there was a case something like this once before. The results were actually OK - the validator itself needed fixing :-).
And now all of the tasks I pointed to in that message has been validated as OK so things seems to have been fixed and both science and credits are good! Sometimes a bit of patience do pay off.
sorry about the "no details" in my post. (i'm new) Holmis is right, a little bit of patience... most of the tasks that seemed stuck have "completed". ...just took a great deal longer than I was used to.

I was/am referring to Message 175414 from URSMII.
He doesn't seem to understand the goal of scientific crunching.
Even "invalid results" are important for the project outcome.
The crunching time is not "wasted".
That's how I see it.
Have you all a nice day ...

All those CasA tasks have now been mutated to 'completed and validated' and credits were given. Future for running these looks good.
