1.) Determine which preferences are in use for the box from your computers page (home/work/school/---=default)
2.) Edit those preferences and set the "Leave at least" to a value larger than your HDD size.
3.) From the box, hit update to get the new prefs.
4.) Disable network access.
5.) Edit the prefs and set the "Leave at least" back to it's normal value.
6.) Wait for all work to be complete, do not re-enable network access before that.
7.) Once all work is complete and ready for upload, repeat step 2.
8.) Enable network access
Your box will upload and contact the server for new work, but will receive the message "not enough disk space" and no work will be sent.
9.) After all uploads are complete, hit update to report the results.
10.) Disable network access and detach from the project.
11.) Repeat step 5.
When you attach again with the new hardware, you will be given a new host id corresponding to your newly built and super slick A64.
Post again if unclear.
Wouldn't it be easier to set "Connect to network about every..." to 0 days...I've done this in the past and you don't get any new work
Thank you All; My attempt at burning the Boinc file to CD from the old Windows Programs directory failed. Turned out to be a cross platform burn software issue. Pulled the old hard drive out of the freezer and installed it as secondary. Proceeded to copy the old Boinc file to the new drive Windows programs file. Established a shortcut to the Boinc manager and version 4.25 started up no problem. Upgraded to 4.43 without a hitch. Crunching as we speak. Thanks again for your kind attention.

In the later client versions, yes.
In the earlier client versions, the client would still request 0.1 sec of work, even with a connect of 0.
