Does a restart of the BOINC client or a reboot change anything?

Nope, neither operation helped. Situation is the same.

Now the two CPU tasks are no longer in high priority mode and thinks are back to normal. One CPU task and one CPU+GPU task.

Same here... Insufficient GPU RAM...

We'll reduce the limit from

We'll reduce the limit from 450 to 400 or 420. This requires replacing the scheduler. I'm afraid I can't do this today, first thing tomorrow.

Done.

I suggest to abort the affected tasks and update the project to get new GPU tasks.

Hi!
The following is probably more of a BOINC problem than Einstein but anyway here's what is happening to me:

In order to get those ABP2 CUDA tasks returned as fast as possible I suspended some Einstein WU's on Friday as requested in another thread. Everything seemed to go OK. Unfortunately there was a power supply failure during weekend and the computer was shutdown by itself (laptop). On Monday when I finally got the thing running again I noticed some of the suspended WU's were due to return on the 20th so I unsuspended them and two of them were started to crunch in high priority mode (this is a Core2Duo T9500), after a minute one of the CUDA ABP2's were also started and now I have totally three WU's crunching at the same time. On the CPU one APB1 3.12 and one S5R6 3.01 in high priority mode and one ABP2 3.03 with CPU+GPU.

I do not have any local configuration overrides in the computer. The settings are 100% of CPU's and 100% of CPU time. BOINC is 6.10.18 on WinXP32.

I don't think this is a normal situation.

Additional note: Now I have again two Einstein CPU WU's running in high priority mode. This time both of them are S5R6 3.01 and when a CPU+GPU ABP1 task starts the other CPU-only WU is suspended correctly.

Hi, is it possible to

Hi,
is it possible to increase the daily work for the gpu? I get: reached daily quota of 128 task. I need typically 16h to complete these task and I want to give away all my crunching power ;)

Why is it a problem to have a daily limit of 128 tasks if you don't even return 8 a day?

You (currently) have between 457 and 895 tasks downloaded on your quad cores (4 * 32 = 128). That should be enough for quite a few days.

But there are no cuda apps in the current cache (visible in boinc manager). Right now there are only cpu wu and no gpu crunching.
(I know, that I have enough wus)

Oops, too bad if one doesn't read carefully ;-)

However, I think the daily quota is for the sum of GPU and CPU tasks. If you currently have so many CPU tasks, I think it's a problem with the scheduling algorithm of the actual BOINC client/server combo, as you can see in several other threads (Over downloaded or Too many jobs et al.).

Just got a few CUDA work

Just got a few CUDA work units on my GT120. But it really doesn't worth the effort. Even though it utilises 50% of GPU power + 100% CPU, it resulted in my display being sluggish.

If I were to install another graphics card, is there anyway to program BOINC to use CUDA app to crunch only on 1 GPU, while using the other GPU mainly for display...?
