user profile: waiting for "approvement"

hi crunchers!
i joined e@h on the first of november and created a user profile soon after bringing in my first credits, which was on nov 3rd.
since then i am waiting for "approvement" of my user profile, which may (according to the info shown to me when viewing my profile) "take up to a few days".
now 18 days have gone and i am getting kinda impatient. how many days does this take usually? is there anything one can do to speed up things?

AFAIK this is just a simple manual check whether your profile contains anything that is ... well... inappropriate :-). A pending approval doesn't limit your account's functionality in Einstein@Home. There's nothing you can do to speed up the process. Thanks for your patience.

ok, i can live with that. meanwhile i found out, that one can link pictures in the "text" area of the user profile, which obviously doesn't need to be approved like the user pic, so i stored my user pic there temporarily.

crazy sh*t ... it seems like the admins have changed some code, so that pics linked in the text section of the user profile are now only visible to other users but not the owner of the account, muhaha!
sounds funny, but it is like that: when logged out, i can see the pics. i don't think that this is intended.
anyways ... since these things don't work, i won't either until they do. four weeks should be enough time for some "user profile approvement".
