I thought perhaps it would be useful to have a thread in which users could comment on things they can't find in the new (as of August 5, 2016) version of the Einstein website.

2. The tasks lists are much less useful in the new version than in the late stage implementation of the old, where one could filter the tasks displayed by application or status, and for the last few months, had a wonderful addition of summary counts.  This allowed me to see, for example, the total number of pending GRP6 tasks in my fleet in a single number--vital for progress monitoring.

This may also have been commented on elsewhere at the time, and if so, I've forgotten when and where.  I decided at the time to be patient and see if this functionality might return.  The above response didn't really say if "gone" meant "gone temporarily" or "gone permanently" Smile.

I really miss the ability to select tasks according to a particular app.  For example, when the new GW tasks became available, I wanted to see if any of my machines had downloaded any.  With close to 100 machines, individual inspection is far too onerous.  For me, I would love to be able to use the TASKS link on my account page and then filter on the specific O1MD1 app.  That would show me how many tasks in total and which particular hosts had acquired some.  Are there any plans to bring this functionality back?  If so, any guess as to when that might happen?

Cheers,
Gary.

Hi Gary, I totally agree

Hi Gary,

I totally agree with you and by all other "small" problems with new Website, this is a Function I'm really missing for control the behavior of App's, WU's and Hosts. I can't understand that this opportunity isn't implemented weeks after starting the new Website again. Very regrettable.

Gary,

First of all, I would say "gone temporarily". The idea of having users filter the task/workunit/host pages is something we should have. It's just a question of time.

Right now we've been concentrating on fixing things that are mostly on the backend. Mostly trying to fix bugs that may affect the project. We do try to implement minor improvements to the UI, but new features are lower on the priority list. And adding features the task/workunit/host lists will take some more time due to their higher complexity (I think).

...sorry for contradiction;

...sorry for contradiction; but to clarify, we "have had" such a filter in former days and it is not a "new" feature!

Guys, we have these features

Guys, we have these features [1] [2] on our TODO list, so we can only repeat ourselves. For those you can't understand how open issues are resolved: it's all just a matter of tasks at hand, available resources and management-backed priorities - as usual.
