All last week, my left knee was giving me little twinges of pain. Nothing serious, just telling me to take it easy. So I did, especially Sunday at the museum.
But then in the middle of the afternoon, just walking, not even climbing on or off the car, my right knee popped like it does sometimes. Now it hurts just to walk on it. Actually, climbing stairs isn't a problem. The problem is the transition from straight to bent when I'm walking. It also doesn't want to bend as far as normal.
This is causing a problem at work, where I'm doing inventory. Take a laptop on a cart with a hand-held barcode reader and scan EVERY book in the whole library. Reaching over my head to do the top shelves. Sitting down and bending over to do the bottom shelves.
Speaking of the museum, coming up is the first big weekend of the year, Memorial Day. Scheduled to operate are Frisco 1630, our Russian decapod; the Nebraska Zephyr; a 2-car interurban train (different ones each day); a late '60s L train running a shuttle out of the 50th Ave. L station; two streetcars; and 2-car L trains on the mainline (different each day) on Sunday and Monday. I will be conductor on the wooden L cars on Sunday.
You can see the action on our several webcams at irm.org.

Howdy Mike, the electrons are currently being put back into my mobile after a flat battery incident, I must've been leaking electrons all over the place. Such a mess. Alas, there is no message as my tin foil hat prevents communication from those of another world. They REALLY don't stop once they get going.
Well, I have two WUs stuck in perpetual Upload status; one on each computer. :-(
I have now Suspended SETI and Beta until the server work is complete. Now I'm running Einstein on both computers. :-)
Why take the action of suspending them?
Because, I didn't want 25 or more "Upload"-ing WUs sitting, not accomplishing anything. So, instead, I diverted time to Einstein; now winding down, and I'll be back on SETI, full time, upon the completion of the last Einstein WUs on each computer.

Seti WUs sitting there unable to upload won't prevent Boinc communicating with another project or doing work for it.

They do that. As long as you have not been charged with any offences all will be well ...
As for me I'm just running with the usual crowd :
Cheers, Mike.
( edit ) NB There are two children in the photo. Can you guess which one has reached middle age ? :-) :-)
I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...
... and my other CPU is a Ryzen 5950X :-) Blaise Pascal

Welcome, oh frog-eyed green and slimy one :-)
Please take a seat on a water lily frond ....
.... have you brought thus any bags of energetic electrons ?
Failing that, any news from across the interstellar hydrogen alpha line ? :-)
Cheers, Mike.
