Just set the minimum font size in your browser. With the Web-Developer extensions for FF you can even add a user defined style sheet to this web page. :-)
Setting the minimum size to 13 seems to be an acceptable workaround in FF, at least for BOINC project forum viewing.
It didn't mess up most of my other regular hangouts too badly either.
Still, I know a lot of folks who don't like messing with their settings for one reason or another. Therefore YMMV, on whether it works for you. ;-)
Also, it seems that IE (6 is what I have on the machine I'm at right now) is a lot less flexible in this regard. So setting a minimum size doesn't seem to be an option for it, and the other accessibility option do not generally cut it for other sites. :-(
Still, if this is the most serious issue we come across with the backend upgrade and new science run, then the EAH team will have well and truly pulled off a virtual miracle! Most other projects can't seem to make a basic operational parameter change without causing a major disaster. :-D

I agree with you on if the font size in the messages are the only thing that needs to be adjusted then they trully have pulled off a miracle. I don't know about the software they are using for the forums but I'm pretty such there is a setting where they can adjust the font nd the size for different parts of the messages.
The Header part and the info in the Author's section seem to be normal. The text body is pretty small and the text in the Message rules section under Author are microscopic now. I'd certainly be happy if they adjust this sometime in the near future AFTER they have everything else running as they would like it.

7 isn't too friendly either...although I don't have issues reading this, at least not with my contacts in.
Also they've managed to keep the button texts within the button border with a resize. Either they're using pre-cooked images or scale one with t'other.
My BOINC update was from 5.10.45 on XP Pro SP3. 6.2.14 notably has optioned separate paths for executables and data - plus possible downgrading of privileges for the science apps.
Cheers, Mike.
I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

I have renamed the app_info.xml file to app_info.xml.old and got three S5R4 WUs. They should take about 14 hours each on my AMD Opteron 1210 running SuSE Linux 10.3 and BOINC 5.10.45.

I haven't changed over any of my systems yet. One is now dry of S5R3 and running pure SETI until a resend becomes available. The other 4 systems have one or more S5R3 WUs...enough to last 'til I get back from w@*k this pm (hope I don't get modded for bad language ;) ).

I dropped back to 5.10.45 on the one system that I had upgraded to 6.2.14 and so far haven't see any ill effects. All my data and work was returned to its original place on the boinc partition. Hope it stays that way.

Thanks zeigenmelker, didn't realise there is a global minimum font size in Fx (but then I've never had reason to look for it). That did the trick.

In my Firefox going to minimum font 13 helped the current Einstein.
However, that messed up dpreview.com appreciably. I had to drop it to 11 just to descramble the message list pages.
I think perhaps part of the problem is the choice of font, not only of font size?
In case others have not found their Firefox minimum font control yet, on 2.0.0.16 this works:
