BOINC projects like einstein use the performace calibration to know how much work it is valid to send to a PC to give a reasonable chance of them being completed within the time deadlines. If for some reason the work units finish early then you can exceed the daily limit. This happened to me when four WUs failed in quick session. You will be able to get a new WU when the daily limit starts a fresh which will be a maximum of 24 hours from when this originally happened.
