I have been running the screen saver and getting work successfully for several months. I finished my last data set over the weekend. Now I can't seem to get work. I looked the messages on BOINC and most were the normal stuff about waiting 9 hours 8 minutes and 19 seconds ... Then I saw this message from the server
- You must remove the app_info.xml file to get more work for Einstein@Home
Anyone out there with the knowledge of how to remove this file. Is it as simple as using "My Computer" and going into the BOINC folder finding the file and deleting it?

Must Remore app_info.xml file

Yes, it is that simple. It is in the BOINC/Projects/Einstein folder. Be sure to restart BOINC afterwards. Doing this will take you off the Beta app and will allow BOINC to download the new Albert application and WU's.
BTW: How's your Physics class doing? I sort of expected a new Einstein/HS team by now.

Stick,
First thank you for your expert help. I am still waiting for work but expect it will come. I apologize for misspelling "remove". I just hit the wrong key and then didn't reread it.
About starting a team. I will try something at the beginning of the new semester that starts in a couple weeks. I have been a little cautious about starting a team because I have had a good deal of difficulty getting up and running on my own. I am not real confident that I can help field all their questions. I am thinking of first starting with Physics students and a few of my better ninth grade Physical Science students. Where can I find a description of the minimum system configuration that can be used for the BOINC interface and the necessary file downloads.
Also remember I teach in rural southwest Michigan. There is a T-1 line at school but at the student homes they are lucky to have a dial up connection. DSL and high speed internet is not very common. So the download times on some of these files is quite long. Got to go. Thanks again.

That is easy for you to fix, as you are the thread creator.
1. Make a posting to this thread
2. Within 1 hour, edit that post by clicking the 'Edit' link near the top right of that post.
While doing the edit you also get the chance to edit the subject. In fact, you do not need to change the new posting at all!!
If you had noticed the spelling mistake within the first hour, you could have simply edited your original post. After that first hour you need to use this little cheat!

When I made the suggestion, I thought that maybe your students could help you. ;-)
I looked around both the BOINC and Einstein sites and couldn't find anything. However, Einstein has had some threads like: Pentium II too weak? - which could help give you some insight. And maybe someone else reading this will add something here.
As we discovered, dial-up can be a little cumbersome if you run into problems during the sign-up process, so I guess that could be a problem. For starters, I suggest that you upgrade to BOINC 5.2.13. BOINC 5.2.13 is the "production" version now, so that's what your students would be downloading. It's also a little different from v4.45.
