LOL thanks for the gratulations. My frickin computer is just crunching way too slow(at least in comparison to others with a similar setup)
How long has it been taking your 2.60 to finish a unit?
One of mine is basically the same (2.50)and it takes about 9.5hrs each so that is close to what yours should be doing.
Since you just started you will have to wait before you credits come in (and check your "credit due" on your page just to see how things are going)
As far as people trying those 133's.......well it is funny to run one but it is pretty much a waste of time (I tried it and decided to just use it for email )
Hi JAHMAGIC,
It's easy with 7 computers and 15 processors. If you look at my machines you'll notice that all of them are dual processor boxes (with the exception of one which does not crunch Einstein anymore). Two of the boxes have been working on Einstein almost execlusivly since Nov. 12, 2004. Both( 1409 and 1411)are dual MP Athlons and produce @15 results a day between the two of them. The 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4800+ will complete a workunit in 5hrs.9min., and yes I like it a lot. None of the box's are overclocked and I hade them all custom built.

Yeah I noticed you were running the dual processor machines and you have a couple months more than me too but you still have nice looking credit totals on a couple of them!
I have been looking up stats on the 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4800+ since it came out and was wondering if I should get one.......or wait for an even faster AMD or get that one when it goes on sale for the cheaper price like they always do (like my AMD 64 3200+ has done since I got it over a year ago)
Are you running all 7 of those programs on that one?
I'm just sticking to Einstein and LHC on mine and the 3200+ averages 6hrs doing the Einsteins.......and the LHC are all different times (half hour to about 2.5hrs)
When I was running seti classic at the same time they took about 5.5hrs and 2.5hrs by itself.
I always mess around rebuilding old machines and help other people around here but when I want one of the new top of the line machines I just get the custom box from Tiger Direct when the sale is on.
I'm probably a little presumptuous in saying this, but when the Venice core becomes mature and AMD gets production shifted around between their old fabs and the new one (a matter of a couple of months in both cases), you should be able to get a bottom-of-the-line Venice core x2 and clock it to 4800 speed, right out of the box, and save almost enough to buy another of them. This is the case with the Barton-core Athlons of the past 1.5-2 years, where an XP2500, say, can be boosted to 200FSB. On my XP-Mobile 2600, that resulted in 11*200=2.2GHz, a 3200 rating, and because the multiplier is unlocked on Mobiles, it goes to 12.5*200=2.5Ghz, on air, rock-stable, doing Einstein. Presently, it's at 12.5*204-205, depending on ambient temps, E@H WUs ranging 17930-18030 secs, unless I "distract" it.
(edit) For a better explanation of this "speed-binning", check the conversation between Bill Sturgis, Gary Roberts, and myself in Cruncher's Corner/Report WU-Speeds Here! starting Sept 30, especially Gary's explanation in message 18878, Oct 1, way-way down near the bottom. ;-)

Yet another milestone today -- Einstein specific -- 500K credits.
Have you noticed the surge of new BOINC folks -- primarily over in Seti -- due to them shutting down Seti Classic?

Thanks Michael,
I also went over and read that thread to see how things were going (overclocks too)
I figure in january prices will drop on all the current AMD's but I will decide later in that month which will be my newest version.
But I may as well see what I can make this 3200+ do with some tweaking!
