Hows the hound John?

She's fine.

The collapsed eye was rebuilt, and they hung on to her for a week. Looks bloodshot, but the eye is saved and we believe the vision will return. Not bad for £1.8K.

Need to take her back for a check up next week, and again a fortnight later. This is likely to go on for a few months.

Thanks for asking!

Ah, the joys of dog owning.

Ah, the joys of dog owning. My vet bill isn't that much, but I live with a 15 year old Chihuahua that has heart problems and coughs all the time. The vet keeps giving us pills and the dog keeps coughing.

P.S. The dog and I have a bet as to which one of us has a heart attack first.

Ouch! thats expensive. Mind you in the last 2 years vets bills for this stray tabby we picked up have totalled £1200. Broken leg in 3 places, 2 abcesses, dental work, you name it the little sod has had it.

Its worse than having kids.....

Glad to hear the good news though. You cant put a price on a healthy pet.

Waiting for Godot & salvation :-)

Why do doctors have to practice?
You'd think they'd have got it right by now

Don't forget she is one of the middle ones of 6. Two are old and have miltiple problems that operations and tablets keep going.
