I just got an Intel Arc A770, but I am having issues with the Intel Drivers even with Windows 10 20H2. I do not currently have a setup where I can use it headless. I have it working for now but sometimes I have to unplug and reinsert my HDMI cable to get a display again. Plus, I swapped a workstation I used for work with the computer using the Intel Arc, so I will be crunching intermittently.

If your CPU has an integrated GPU (mine doesn't), you may have to disable it in the BIOS so windows only uses the PCIe GPU.
or get a 7$ DVI to VGA adapter and leave that plugged in the A770 if you don't use it for any video outpu.
Try intel DSA, that's what I used for my drivers; https://www.intel.in/content/www/in/en/support/detect.html

I checked and that's why I removed the lines in the app-config :)
I'm sorry, I'll give you your money back ????????????
I'm very happy.
It's quiet, it works (which wasn't a given in the first place), it runs cooler than any of my NVidia/AMD GPU, it's decent in terms of power consumption....
An AMD/Nvidia card would work on a lot more project than an Intel GPU, so depending on your need it's a "better" choice.
Intel GPU are limited to Einstein/Collatz/Minecraft
I just bought it because I could and to test it. It will have no other use than a cool BOINC platform for me :)
Since I have been fascinated with Intel's attempts to get into the dedicated GPU market, I just had to have one. I do some gaming, so I can always use it for that or a home theater pc. The idea of an all-Intel build is tempting.

i''l have to get around to do an app_config then :)
it's a headless computer now, so I'll do it remotely
<app_config>
<app>
<name>einsteinbinary_BRP4</name>
<max_concurrent>2</max_concurrent>
<gpu_versions>
<gpu_usage>0.5</gpu_usage>
<cpu_usage>0.5</cpu_usage>

No nned for max_concurretn,

No need for max_concurrent, gpu_usage will do
try:

<cpu_usage>1.0</cpu_usage>

seems to work;
except that bit (so I removed that app for the app_config)
Your app_config.xml file refers to an unknown application 'einsteinbinary_BRP7'

I'm dissapointed. In same price range we can have some 3050 from NVidia that would overkill above Intel GPU - in terms of BOINC of course
So I will wait for some "low" price NVidia 40x0
